Parent Review 2

Dear Ashgrove,

I just wanted to write and provide you with some feedback on our experience at Ashgrove in a way that I hope you are able to share with other parents who are considering coming to your excellent school.

Falling behind and struggling with teachers who didn't challenge our son, we took him out of his (Ofsted outstanding rated) primary school and placed him at Ashgrove. Now, with their support and encouragement, he has excelled in his exams and they have turned him into a polite young man with a strong foundation to build on for the future. Some say that you can't put a value on a great education but it seems with Ashgrove that you can. We will always be grateful for everything they have done.

Coming from another larger school we were apprehensive about how our child might settle in. We needn’t have worried. Ashgrove staff gave him lots of support while he caught up to the higher level that his new classmates were working at. Soon he was enjoying learning as we had not seen before and everyday he couldn’t wait to tell us all about his new skills. With this confidence he has gone on to achieve great exam results and he now considers getting in to the Judd Grammar School his greatest achievement.

Looking back, I will miss being greeted with a “Good morning” and at the end of the school day with a “Good afternoon”, it’s funny how these little added details make all the difference. Excellent staff who show how much they care and enjoy working with the kids every day.

Our son has some specific medical needs and we are so pleased that Ashgrove staff were able to manage these making life at school as normal as possible. He has made great friends and I know he will look back on his time at Ashgrove with fond memories.

Thank you to you Dr Ash and your team for everything you have done to support Andrew during these important years of his life.

With kindest regards,

Philip Gourlay
