OFSTED praises the excellent school standards

A recent Ofsted report reaffirms that parents choose Ashgrove for "its reputation locally for high academic achievement."

It goes on to say "The quality of teaching is very high. Staff have a good knowledge and understanding of the Early Learning Goals and the National Curriculum. Staff offer high challenges for the children and expect the most from them. In all lessons children were performing at a higher than expected level, sometimes exceeding the extent of Early Learning Goals. The management of the children is very good and an excellent learning environment has been established. As a result, staff achieve a high standard of behaviour within the school."

Children join the school at the age of three and stay until eleven when they sit the secondary school entrance examinations for which the results are excellent.
